A battle to keep pace with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South tonight in Jacksonville has the Jaguars playing host to the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are 3-2 and a half game out of first place. Since getting blown out in weeks 2 and 3, QB David Garrard has stepped up the Jags offense by averaging 33.5 points in the last 2 games, both wins. On the other side Vince Young seems to having his best season to date for the Titans. He's 8th in the NFL in QB rating at 95.1. Young is not the one who moves this offense, however. RB Chris Johnson, coming off a 2,000 yard season is only on pace for about 1,550. That said, he's still a huge threat and the main focus of the Jaguars defense will be on him. The last time these two teams met, Johnson exploded for 228 yards on 24 carries. The Jags are one of the worst Monday Night teams against the spread as they have failed to cover in 6 of their last 8 Monday Night games. The Titans always seem to step it up in big situations on the road and are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings with the Jags. Expect another big game from Johnson tonight and a mistake free night from Vince Young.
